Forex GOLD Investor EA – MyFxBook Verified XAUUSD EA with 297% Growth
This page is my personal review of Forex GOLD Investor EA, where I’m sharing my own testing experience and the key points I noticed while using the EA.
For my test, I used Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95. It is an MT4 Expert Advisor designed specifically for trading Gold (XAUUSD). So, unlike some multi-pair Forex EAs, this one is focused on a single market GOLD.
In this review, I’ll cover the important things I found during my testing, including the trading performance, risk level, settings, recommended account conditions, and the things I personally liked and disliked about the EA.
I’ll also share my honest opinion about who I think should consider using Forex GOLD Investor EA and who should stay away from it. My goal here is not simply to show the positive results, but to give you a realistic idea of what you can expect before putting real money into this EA.

My Experience With the Trading Approach
One advantage I see with a gold-focused EA is that it does not try to trade dozens of different currency pairs. Forex GOLD Investor EA is built around XAUUSD, so the strategy is focused on one of the most actively traded and volatile markets in Forex.
For me, this is both a positive and a warning sign.
Gold can move very quickly, especially around major economic news and important market sessions. A strategy that performs well under normal conditions can still experience difficult periods when volatility suddenly increases. Because of this, I would not recommend simply installing the EA on a live account and forgetting about it.
The main benefit of using an EA like this is the automation. Once properly configured, the system can handle trade entries and exits according to its programmed strategy instead of allowing emotions such as fear, greed, or hesitation to influence every decision.
That said, automation does not mean there is no risk. The MyFxBook results are useful for understanding how the system performed historically, but they should not be treated as a guarantee that the same results will continue in the future.
Is Forex GOLD Investor EA Worth Considering?
Based on the live-account history and my own testing of V1.95, I think Forex GOLD Investor EA is worth investigating if your main interest is automated XAUUSD trading on MT4.
The combination of a long live trading history, verified MyFxBook results, and a gold-focused strategy makes it more interesting to me than an EA that only shows a short backtest or a few weeks of results.
However, I would still recommend starting carefully. If you decide to test it, I would personally begin with a demo account or a small amount of capital before considering a larger live investment. Make sure you understand the recommended settings, broker conditions, lot size, and potential drawdown before running it with real money.
In the following sections, I’ll go deeper into the Forex GOLD Investor EA MyFxBook results, trading strategy, settings, risk level, recommended deposit, and my personal testing experience so you can decide whether this XAUUSD EA is suitable for you.

Forex GOLD Investor EA Features I Noticed
After looking at Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95 and testing it on XAUUSD, there are several features that I found interesting. Some of them are particularly useful for gold trading because XAUUSD can become extremely volatile within a short period.
Dual-Strategy Trading System
One of the main features of Forex GOLD Investor EA is its dual-strategy approach. The system combines scalping and time-based trading methods to look for opportunities on XAUUSD.
I found this interesting because gold does not behave the same way throughout the entire trading day. Market conditions can change significantly between different sessions, so having more than one trading approach can potentially help the EA adapt to different situations.
Fully Automated Trading
Forex GOLD Investor EA is designed for fully automated trading. Once the EA is installed and the required settings are configured, it can handle the trading process without requiring me to manually open and close every position.
For traders who don’t want to sit in front of MT4 watching the XAUUSD chart all day, this is one of the biggest advantages of using an Expert Advisor.
However, I would not interpret “fully automated” as “set and forget.” I still recommend monitoring the account, especially when trading gold during periods of unusually high volatility.
Entry and Exit Logic
The EA uses programmed trading logic to determine when to enter and exit positions. The idea is to avoid discretionary decisions and let the system follow its predefined rules.
I particularly prefer this type of approach when reviewing automated trading systems because the EA does not suddenly change its decision based on fear, greed, or hesitation—the common emotional problems that affect manual traders.
Of course, no entry or exit algorithm can predict every XAUUSD movement correctly, so I would still evaluate the results over a meaningful period rather than judging the EA from a few individual trades.
Drawdown and Risk Controls
Another feature worth mentioning is the drawdown protection and risk-control system. This is important for me because I pay close attention to drawdown when testing gold EAs.
XAUUSD can make large moves in a relatively short time, and a strategy that focuses only on winning trades without controlling losing periods can become dangerous. The risk-control features are therefore something I would consider when deciding how aggressively to run the EA.
Still, these features should not be viewed as a guarantee against losses. Proper lot sizing and account management are equally important.
Money Management
Forex GOLD Investor EA also includes money-management functionality, including automatic lot-size handling.
I consider automatic lot sizing useful because position size has a major effect on both potential profit and potential drawdown. A trader using a $500 account, for example, should not necessarily use the same risk settings as someone trading with a $5,000 account.
Before running the EA on a live account, I would check the recommended deposit, lot-size settings, and maximum risk carefully.
Stealth Trading
The EA also comes with a stealth trading mode, which is designed to hide certain Stop Loss and Take Profit levels from the broker.
This is an interesting feature, although I would not automatically assume that it prevents “stop hunting.” Broker execution, liquidity, spreads, and market conditions can all affect how a trade is filled.
For me, stealth functionality is a useful additional feature, but it is not something I would use as the main reason to choose an EA.
Spread and Slippage Filter
Gold trading can become expensive when spreads widen or execution conditions deteriorate. Forex GOLD Investor EA includes a spread and slippage filter intended to avoid entering trades when market conditions are less favorable.
I think this is particularly relevant for XAUUSD because spreads and execution can change significantly during major news events, market opens, and periods of low liquidity.
Trade Randomization
Another feature that caught my attention is trade randomization. The idea is to make the trading behavior less predictable by introducing some variation into trade execution.
The developer also presents this feature as being suitable for FTMO and other prop or funded accounts. However, I would be careful with that claim. Whether an EA is acceptable for a particular prop firm depends on that firm’s current rules, including restrictions on automated trading, news trading, trade frequency, execution methods, and risk limits.
So, I would always check the specific prop firm’s rules before using Forex GOLD Investor EA on a funded account.
My Overall View of These Features
Overall, I think Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95 has a fairly interesting feature set for an XAUUSD-focused MT4 Expert Advisor. The dual-strategy approach, automated money management, spread filtering, risk controls, stealth functionality, and trade randomization make it more than a basic buy-and-sell EA.
But features alone don’t make an EA profitable. The actual trading results, drawdown, risk-to-reward profile, broker conditions, and live performance are much more important to me.
That is why, in the next sections of this review, I’ll look more closely at the MyFxBook results and actual performance rather than judging Forex GOLD Investor EA simply from its advertised features.
Recommended Settings for Forex GOLD Investor EA
When I tested Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95, I used the recommended setup for XAUUSD (Gold). The EA is designed specifically for gold trading, so I would not recommend changing the pair or timeframe randomly without first testing the changes.
Here are the main settings I used:
| Setting | My Recommendation |
| Trading Pair | XAUUSD (Gold) |
| Timeframe | M15 |
| Backtest Timeframe | M15 |
| Backtest Method | Every Tick |
| EA Settings | Default settings |
M15 Timeframe
The recommended timeframe for Forex GOLD Investor EA is M15 (15-minute). This is the timeframe I would use when setting up the EA because it is the recommended configuration for the strategy.
Gold can move very quickly, so I prefer not to change the timeframe without a proper backtest. A different timeframe can produce completely different trading behavior, entry frequency, and drawdown.
XAUUSD Only
Forex GOLD Investor EA is designed for XAUUSD (Gold). This is important because I would not treat it like a multi-currency EA and simply attach it to EURUSD, GBPUSD, or other pairs.
The strategy has been developed around gold’s price behavior, so I would keep the EA on XAUUSD unless the developer specifically confirms support for another symbol.
Backtesting on M15
For backtesting, I used M15 with the Every Tick modelling method. When testing an EA, I prefer using a detailed modelling method because it can provide a more realistic simulation of how trades may have been triggered during historical price movements.
However, a backtest is still a backtest. Historical results can look very different from live trading because of spreads, slippage, broker execution, liquidity, and changing market conditions.
Should You Change the Default Settings?
For my initial test, I recommend starting with the default settings rather than immediately trying to optimize every parameter.
Over-optimizing an EA to historical data can sometimes produce excellent backtest results that do not continue in live trading. For that reason, I would first test the original/default configuration and monitor the results before making any changes.
My basic setup is therefore simple: XAUUSD + M15 + default EA settings.
If you want to experiment with different settings later, I would test each change separately on a demo account before using it with real money.
Who Can Use Forex GOLD Investor EA and Who Should Avoid It?
After testing Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95, I don’t think this EA is suitable for every trader. It is specifically designed for XAUUSD (Gold) trading on MetaTrader 4, and gold can be a highly volatile market.
Who Can Use Forex GOLD Investor EA?
I think this EA may be suitable for:
- Traders who want automated XAUUSD trading instead of manually watching the gold chart all day.
- MT4 users who have a broker account that supports Expert Advisors.
- Traders who understand the risks of gold trading and are comfortable with periods of drawdown.
- Traders who want to start with a demo account and test the EA before using real money.
- Experienced Forex traders who understand lot sizing, leverage, spread, slippage, and risk management.
- Traders who can monitor their account regularly, even though the EA is fully automated.
Who Should Not Use This EA?
Personally, I would not recommend Forex GOLD Investor EA to the following traders:
- Complete beginners who expect guaranteed profits. No EA can guarantee profits, regardless of its past results.
- Traders who cannot afford to lose their trading capital. Forex and gold trading involve substantial risk.
- Traders who want a completely “set and forget” system. Automated does not mean risk-free.
- Traders who do not understand leverage and position sizing. Incorrect lot sizes can increase drawdown very quickly on XAUUSD.
- Traders looking for a low-risk investment product. This is a trading EA, not a savings or investment product.
- Traders who are not willing to test the EA first. I always prefer demo or small-account testing before increasing the trading capital.
- Prop-firm traders who have not checked their firm’s EA rules. Before using it on an FTMO or other funded account, make sure automated trading, trade frequency, news trading, and other EA-related activities are permitted under the firm’s current rules.
My Personal Opinion
For me, the most important point is risk management. Forex GOLD Investor EA has interesting features and historical results, but I would never recommend choosing an EA simply because it shows a high percentage of profit.
If you understand XAUUSD trading, know how to control your risk, and are willing to test the EA properly, it could be worth considering.
But if you are completely new to Forex and are looking for an EA that can guarantee daily or monthly profits, I would stay away from it. There is no such thing as a risk-free gold trading EA.
My approach would be simple: test first, use sensible risk, monitor the results, and only increase the account size after you are comfortable with the EA’s real trading behavior.

Forex GOLD Investor EA Review – My Final Verdict
After testing Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95, I can say that this is an interesting MT4 Expert Advisor focused specifically on XAUUSD (Gold). The first thing that attracted my attention was its verified MyFxBook trading history, including more than 3 years of live trading and around 297% total growth.
I also liked the fact that the EA is focused on one market instead of trying to trade every currency pair. The dual-strategy approach, automated trading, money-management features, spread and slippage filter, and risk-control functions give it a reasonably complete feature set for an XAUUSD EA.
However, I don’t want to give the impression that this is a guaranteed-profit system. Gold trading is risky, and even an EA with a strong historical performance can experience losing periods and drawdown. MyFxBook results show what happened in the past; they cannot guarantee what will happen in the future.
For anyone interested in trying Forex GOLD Investor EA, I would recommend starting with the M15 timeframe on XAUUSD and the default settings, as these are the settings I used for my testing. I would also suggest testing it on a demo account first or starting with a small amount of capital before increasing your risk.
Is Forex GOLD Investor EA Worth Trying?
For me, yes—it is worth testing, especially if you are specifically looking for an automated gold trading EA for MT4. The live trading history makes it more interesting than an EA based only on a short backtest.
But whether it is right for you depends on your risk tolerance, account size, broker conditions, and how you manage your trading capital.
My final advice is simple: don’t focus only on the 297% growth figure. Look at the complete MyFxBook history, drawdown, trading behavior, and risk before making your decision.

Forex GOLD Investor EA is an automated Expert Advisor designed for MetaTrader 4 (MT4). The EA is focused specifically on XAUUSD (Gold) and is designed to automatically manage trades according to its programmed strategy.
I tested Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95 on MetaTrader 4. This is the version I used for my review and testing.
The EA is designed for XAUUSD (Gold). I recommend using it on the supported Gold symbol rather than randomly applying it to other Forex pairs.
The recommended timeframe is M15 (15 minutes). This is the timeframe I used when testing the EA.
Yes. Forex GOLD Investor EA V1.95 is designed for MetaTrader 4 (MT4). Make sure your MT4 platform and broker allow Expert Advisors to run correctly.
For the initial setup, I recommend using the default settings. I would not immediately change or over-optimize the parameters because optimized backtest results do not always translate into better live performance.
Yes. It is designed for fully automated trading. Once properly installed and configured, the EA can handle trade entries and exits automatically.
However, automated trading does not mean you should completely ignore the account. I recommend monitoring the EA and checking its performance regularly.
The MyFxBook account I reviewed shows more than 3 years of live trading history and approximately 297% total growth, with a reported winning rate of around 66%.
These are historical results, so I would not treat them as a guarantee of future performance.
The verified trading history shows profitable performance over the reported period. However, no Forex EA can guarantee future profits. Results can change because of market conditions, spreads, slippage, broker execution, and risk settings.
I would not describe any Forex EA as completely safe. XAUUSD is a volatile market, and losses and drawdown are possible. Proper lot sizing and risk management are very important when using this EA.
A beginner can technically use an MT4 EA, but I would not recommend starting with real money without understanding the basics of leverage, lot size, drawdown, margin, and Forex risk management.
If you are completely new to Forex, start with a demo account and learn how the EA behaves before risking real capital.
It may be possible, but you should check the current rules of your specific prop firm first. Different funded-account providers have different restrictions regarding Expert Advisors, news trading, maximum drawdown, trade frequency, and automated strategies.
I would never assume that an EA is automatically allowed just because it has a trade-randomization feature.
The appropriate starting balance depends on the EA's recommended settings, your broker, leverage, and the amount of risk you are willing to accept. I recommend checking the required/recommended deposit and testing with a small amount or demo account before increasing the capital.
No. Forex GOLD Investor EA does not guarantee profits. Even a strong historical MyFxBook record cannot guarantee future results. Forex and gold trading always involve risk.
Yes, depending on the available parameters in the EA. However, I recommend starting with the default settings first. If you want to change parameters, test the changes thoroughly on a demo account before using them on a live account.
A VPS can be useful for automated trading because it allows MT4 and the EA to remain running continuously, even when your personal computer is turned off or disconnected.
For an automated XAUUSD EA, I consider a stable VPS and reliable internet connection useful, especially if you plan to run the system continuously.
You can access Forex GOLD Investor EA through our VIP Membership Program. Membership provides access to the available Expert Advisors and trading tools included in the selected plan.
Based on my testing of V1.95 and the available live-account history, I think it is worth testing for traders interested in automated XAUUSD trading on MT4.
However, I recommend starting with a demo account or conservative risk rather than immediately committing a large amount of capital. The most important thing is to understand the EA's actual trading behavior and risk before increasing your account size.
